This unique silver coin was introduced by the Australian Perth Mint as a new coin in 2018. The 1 ounce (31.1 g) coin made of the purest 99.99% silver sold out quickly in 2018. All subsequent vintages have followed a similar scenario.

The coin’s reverse portrays an adult emu walking alongside five young chicks. The background includes a representation of a desert landscape, sky and sun. The inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN EMU’ appears within the design, along with the coin’s weight, purity, 2025 year-date, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
